Golden Service Awards – 2011 

Two Finalists – Best Cleaned Premises : Large Retail Establishment Category Winner - The Oracle Centre, Reading & Gun Wharf Quay, Portsmouth 

We were delighted to have two finalists nominated in the Kimberly-Clark Professional Golden Service Awards for 2011. One of the Awards' most competitive categories, the inclusion of two of our largest and most diverse locations clearly demonstrated our expertise across a comprehensive range of services. At both locations, our friendly, flexible teams provide comprehensive services including daily and periodic cleaning, washroom services and waste management. Consistently high standards, attention to detail and a professional, reliable team were key factors in both locations being nominated.

Green Apple Award – 2011 

We were awarded another Green Apple this year for a highly innovative waste management project which we implemented at a major UK shopping destination. Through a very effective food waste management programme, 100% of all food waste is now recycled; converting it intoenergy which is returned to the National Grid or processed into fertiliser for local farmers. As a result, the centre has dramatically reduced its landfill costs, exceeded its environmental obligations and become one of the UK's greenest shopping destinations.

Highly prized, we were delighted to be awarded a Green Apple for reducing environmental
impact of the chemicals we use and for raising general environmental awareness. Awarded to
the company, the Apple strengthens our reputation as a "green" company and recognises our
commitment to environmental best practice. This includes reducing our own carbon footprint
and cutting our energy consumption, as well as training all our managers and staff to source and
use environmentally friendly alternative cleaning products, reducing waste and recycling
wherever possible. The Award also demonstrates our environmental commitment to our
customers, who can rest assured that we meet –and often exceed - all the current environmental
legislation. 

GBM Services Ltd currently holds SIA Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) status for the provision of Security Guarding and Public Space CCTV.
