Lynn started with the company as a Pay Roll Supervisor in 1989. Over the past 20 years, Lynn's career has mirrored GBM's own development, as she's taken on new and different challenges as part of an expanding team.
Initially, Lynn supervised pay roll for all GBM's full time, part time, seasonal and occasional staff throughout the organisation. Having gained considerable experience, Lynn was promoted to Pay Roll Manager, taking on the overall responsibility for GBM's expanding pay roll function and managing her own team. As part of her ongoing career development programme, Lynn has attended in-house and external training courses to build and maintain her skills and expertise in areas such as new legislation, IT systems and management.
Lynn's role has changed enormously over the past 20 years: in addition to managing the pay-roll team, she has overseen the implementation of the latest pay-roll systems and is working increasingly closely with GBM's Human Resources team.
"I've seen huge changes since I joined the company" says Lynn "But I've always had the training and support to keep pace with the changes. It's a friendly environment and whilst we all work hard, we laugh a lot and there's a great atmosphere".
