GBM strikes gold
Two buildings serviced by GBM Support Services Group Ltd struck gold scooping the top accolade at this year’s ‘Building Cleanability Awards’ as well as collecting the coveted bronze prize. The company was recently awarded the prestigious ‘Gold Award’ for London Bridge City (LBC), having been its incumbent cleaners for 20 years, a contract which was retained in 2005 following a competitive retendering process. The company has also provided security services to LBC for the past two years. GBM is currently employed by commercial real estate advisors, CB Richard Ellis, managing agents on behalf of the international development and investment company St Martins, to clean London Bridge City. At the awards ceremony – promoted by the cleaning industry’s Livery Company, the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners – GBM Support Services Group Ltd was also presented with the ‘Bronze Award’ for 80 Strand, London.
Here, GBM has worked with Pearson for over seven years and the client has been extremely pleased with the company’s high quality of service. David Donovan, Director, GBM Support Services Group Ltd commented: “It is always an honour to receive any national industry award, but GBM is particularly proud to have been recognised with both a Gold and Bronze Award on this occasion. GBM employs a motivated and enthusiastic team and this award is a testament to their hard work and dedication.” The Building Cleanability Awards are run in association with the British Cleaning Council.
